At PREAJ Tabitha CBO, we believe in the transformative power of second chances. Rooted in compassion, Christian values, and community engagement, our philosophy centers on the holistic rehabilitation and empowerment; both social and economic of individuals affected by the criminal justice system.
We are committed to breaking the cycles of poverty, stigma, and recidivism by equipping reentry citizens, at-risk youth, and children of incarcerated parents with life skills, educational support, counseling, and economic empowerment. Through practical support and spiritual guidance, we walk hand-in-hand with the vulnerable towards healing, self-reliance, and hope for a better tomorrow.

Meet Our Director
Rev. Chris Wafula and his wife, Rev. Linet, serve in the Kenya Prisons Department Chaplaincy. they dedicate their lives to supporting and advocating for children orphaned through parental imprisonment and ex-convicts struggling with reintegration into society.
Chris brings over 18 years of experience in rehabilitation and correctional management. He is the Founding Director of Positive Reestablishment After Jail – Tabitha (Preaj-Tabitha), an arm of Prison Christian Ministries, focused on supporting and advocating for children of incarcerated parents and women whose husbands are in prison. Inspired by his own childhood—when his father’s imprisonment left his family destitute—Chris found hope in Christ as a teenager and pursued a path of service. In 2007, he joined the Department of Corrections as a prison chaplain.
Together, Chris and Linet run Tabitha Safe House. Their work extends to orphaned and vulnerable children, offering moral guidance, education, and shelter, while also helping ex-convicts reintegrate into society. Through Tabitha Satellite Academy, they currently support 35 children with parents in prison. They have also successfully reintegrated 26 former inmates.
Rev. Chris also serves as a Board of Trustees member of the International Coalition for Children With Incarcerated Parents (INCCIP), as an agent of Prison Christian Ministries Canada, and as Director of Camp David International YWAM Cross Wind Kenya. Through faith-driven service, Chris and Linet embody hope and restoration for families affected by incarceration.
